Saffron is considered one of the most sought after spice - this is because it is extremely difficult to harvest it takes 75,000 saffron flowers to make one pound of saffron spice which needs to be extremely carefully plucked by hand since the strings of saffron are super delicate. This spice is highly revered for its royal taste.
